A Dance You Perfect Over Time...

Film ini emang bukan box office. Tapi, ini termasuk salah satu film favorit gue. Terlepas dari chemistry leading actor dan actress yang sebenernya gak cocok-cocok banget, tapi Bruce Willis dan Michelle Pfeiffer acted nicely in this movie. Plot cerita film ini kalo mau jujur, sangat biasa kalo gak mau dibilang monoton. Tapi, kelemahan itu justru buat gue jadi kelebihannya. This film portrayed a real-life marriage with its problems. And makes us realize then in the end, the person who sleeps next to you every night is actually the best friend you've had. Ada satu scene (click here to view) yang jadi favorit gue di film ini. Saat Kathy (Michelle Pfeiffer) memilih untuk kembali ke Ben (Bruce Willis) setelah Kathy sebelumnya pengen cerai. Di situ Kathy bilang ke Ben :

It's because we're an us.
There's a history here.
And history don't happen overnight.
You know in Mesopotamia or ancient Troy, somewhere back there, that there are cities build on top other cities. But, I don't wanna build another city. I like this "city".

I know where we keep the Bactine. And what kind of mood you're in when you wake-up by which eyebrow is higher. And you always know that I'm a little quite in the morning and compensate accordingly. That's a dance you perfect over time.

And it's hard. It's much harder than I thought it would be. But, there's more good than bad. And you don't just give up. And it's not for the sake of the children. But they're...oh God they're great kid, aren't they? I mean, oh God, we made them. I mean think about that. It's like there were no people there and there were people and then they grew.. I won't be able to say to some stranger Josh's has your hands, remember how Erin threw-up at Lincoln Memorial? Then I'll try to relax.

Let's face it. Anybody gonna have traits that gets on your nerves.
I mean why shouldn't be your annoying traits.

Then, I'm no day at the beach. But, I do have a good sense of direction. So, at least I can find the beach. Which is not a criticism of yours but it just a strength of mine.

And, God, you're a good friend. And good friends are hard to find.
Charlotte said that in Charlotte's web and I love the way you read that to Erin. And you take on the voice of Wilbur the pig with such commitment even when you're bone tired and speaks volumes about character.

And ultimately isn't that what it comes down to what a person made of.
Because that girl in pit helmet is still in here. Bee boop....bee boopp..... I don't even know she existed until I met you. And I'm afraid if you leave, I may never see her again. Even though I said it times you beat her out of me. Isn't that the paradox? Haven't we hit the essential paradox? Give and take, push and pull, yin and yang, the best of time, the worst of time...

I guess what am trying to say here that I love you.


Berantem itu hal yang biasa when it comes to relationship kan?
At the end of the day, sometime we just never see that the person in front of you is your best friend. No matter What.
